A customs broker would be most familiar with the most recent changes and would be able to advise on the mandatory documents required. The Australian Border Force (ABF) is a federal law enforcement agency, part of the Department of Home Affairs, responsible for offshore and onshore border enforcement, investigations, compliance and detention operations in Australia.

There is no requirement for importers (companies or individuals) to hold an import license to import goods into Australia. However, depending on the nature of the goods and regardless of value, importers might need to obtain permits to clear certain imported goods from customs control.
